Bed Linen Size Guide — Find Your Perfect Fit
Queen, king, single, double, inches or centimeters… Talking about bed linen sizes can be confusing. Every country seems to have its own idea of what a “standard” bed looks like.
Since Midnatt is a Swedish label, our first collection was made to fit Swedish bed sizes. But we want every sleepy head to feel at home in the Midnatt universe. That’s why we’ve expanded our range with duvet covers, pillow cases, and sheets to fit most European bedding sizes — and we’re always working on adding more.
Bedding sizes in Europe
Here is an easy-to-read guide to the standard bedding sizes in Europe. Single duvet covers, double duvet covers and pillow cases. When in doubt, size down for duvet covers and pillow cases and up for sheets.

Duvet covers
Different countries use different duvet measurements — even for the same mattress size!
Take a look at the duvet size chart below to find the best match for your duvet.
Midnatt duvet covers are available in 140×200 cm, 150×200 cm, 200×200 cm, and 240×220 cm.
If your duvet doesn’t match our cover sizes exactly, we recommend choosing a slightly smaller duvet cover rather than a larger one. A duvet that fills the cover completely will simply make your bed look a little fuller and puffier — and that’s never a bad thing.

Fitted sheets
Midnatt’s fitted sheets are designed for beds 200 cm long, with widths from 90 to 180 cm. Each sheet has elastic edging and about 35 cm of extra fabric for a perfect, snug fit.
Simply choose the same size as your mattress — it’s that easy.
We offer six fitted sheet sizes to suit most European beds.

Flat sheets
Our extra-large flat sheet (260 × 260 cm) is versatile and fits beds 180–210 cm wide, including extended king-size beds.

Pillow cases
Regarding pillow cases, we add an extra aspect that makes it even more difficult. Apart from different regions ”standards” you also add personal choice to the mix. What do you prefer? Small pillows? Extra long? Squared or rectangular? We’ve boiled our current assortment down to eight different sizes. Keep reading this guide and you will find which size is most common in your country. Kids bedding
With our range of bedding for the small ones, you can match the children’s bedding with your own. We call this line Midnatt Mini, and it offers duvet covers, pillow cases and a flat sheet for cot, cribs and prams. Duvet covers and pillow cases are sold in sets and the flat sheet is versatile and measures 90×150 cm, but is suitable for everything from tiny cots and strollers to toddler cribs depending on how much of the fabric you tuck under the mattress.
