”It was important for me to develop a scent that was spot on and lived up to the very idea of tulips. Tulip scents are often too roselike. In my mind, you need the green aspect as it is the ultimate cut flower.”
This month we’ve teamed up with stylish garment and skin care label Tangent GC to bring you a great gift when you shop for more than 950 SEK in our web shop (you can find all the details at the end of this text). With that said, we decided to get to know the brand and it’s founder even better.
Hi David, cofounder of Tangent and professional garment life savior! Tangent is famous for neat packaging, great scents and organic care for skin and garments – what is your all time favorite product in your line up?
I would say the Fir perfumed Hand Cream. I still use my first tube and the hand creams launched last year.
Do you have any life hack advices to give us when it comes to taking care of our textiles, in general, and our bed linen in particular?
Airing before washing! We wash too much and air to little, generally speaking. Save time and work for yourself acting eco at the same time.
We heard that you are the one ‘inventing’ all Tangent scents, what will be the next big it-scent?
In a larger scope we are leaving the idea of classic perfumes behind. The avantgarde developers will gain much more influence, inspiration will come from the culinary world, horticulture, objects, travel and memories. I feel that the schooled and secretive blending of perfumes is being replaced by transparency, unisex and the clean cut. We are launching new scents that I have been working, but I’m afraid it is too soon to reveal them yet.
What can you tell us about the scent of your hand soap tulip?
It was important for me to develop a scent that was spot on and lived up to the very idea of tulips. Tulip scents are often too roselike. In my mind, you need the green aspect as it is the ultimate cut flower. I wanted a tight, cold and quite wet scent reminiscent a budding tulip, not the warm honeylike fragrance of a tulip in bloom. I think we did very well with that one.
We couldn’t agree more. Want to get your hands on one of David’s Tulip soaps? Shop for more than 950 SEK in our web shop and use code TANGENT at check out and we’ll make sure you get one with your order. Offer is valid while supplies last. Happy shopping!
